Confidentiality

Young people have the right to use a confidential service.

Confidentiality means that the service you’re accessing will not pass on the information you tell them to your parents or anyone else.

You might be encouraged to speak to your parents/carers to make sure that you have a support network.

There are limits to confidentiality. If you tell us something and we think that you are at serious risk of harm (e.g. abuse) and/or a risk to others, this information will need to be passed on to ensure your safety and the safety of others. The whole process will be discussed with you at the time.
